When I travel abroad, I usually choose accommodations that are reasonably priced. However, during my last trip to Bali, I decided to stay at Montigo Resorts Seminyak.
Located in Seminyak, one of the most vibrant and popular areas in Bali, the resort was incredibly convenient for visiting nearby beach clubs, enjoying sunsets on the beach, and dining at delicious restaurants.
The resort is very family-friendly, with a family pool and two smaller pools that are perfect for kids to enjoy. There’s also a kids’ club and a small but functional fitness center, which I found quite useful during my stay.
As is common with most Indonesians, the resort staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The breakfast served at the resort was one of the cleanest and best meals I had during my time in Bali.
When I first swam in the pool, I noticed some floating debris, which made me question its cleanliness. However, after staying at the Hard Rock Hotel later on, I realized that the Montigo pool was 100 times cleaner.
The bedding was slightly damp, but this seems to be a typical issue in most Bali accommodations due to the tropical climate.
Here’s a quick summary of my experience:
- Pools: 5 stars!
- Guests: Mostly Westerners, with very few Koreans or other Asians.
- Breakfast: Delicious (though I generally find all hotel breakfasts enjoyable).
- Kids’ Club: A big plus for families with children.
- Overall Rating: While it’s marketed as a 5-star resort, it felt closer to a 4-star property.
Despite some minor drawbacks, I had a satisfying and enjoyable stay at Montigo Resorts Seminyak. It’s a great option for those looking for a convenient, family-friendly base in Bali!
